It may be next winter before residents of Southlands and Goulds see improvements to snow-clearing.
Councillor Carl Ridgeley says the city has been working to improve snow-clearing operation, but his ward has been put further down on the list of improvements.
New equipment and resources are earmarked in the city’s latest capital budget.
He says residents will notice a difference once the new equipment and staff are in place.
“The equipment and everything that to improve snow clearing for areas like Southlands and some areas of the Goulds, we don’t have that equipment yet. So winter 25-26 is when the residents not just in Ward 5 but all throughout the city are going to see a significant improvement in snow-clearing,” says Ridgeley.
