More than $225,000 has been raised for the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation through a radiothon on the VOCM radio network today – far surpassing the initial fundraising goal of $200.000.
Funds raised will go toward important health care equipment and programming on the Burin Peninsula.
Initiatives include new medical equipment, mental health and addiction programming in schools and communities, dementia-friendly spaces for long-term care residents, and helping patients with everyday costs for things like travel, meals, and accommodations.
