A 29-year-old St. John’s man was arrested and charged after police searched a home on Druken Cresent early yesterday morning.
An investigation by the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit into weapons-related offences led police to a property in Shea Heights around 6:30 yesterday morning.
The tactical unit was used to gain entry to the home.
Tyler Downey was arrested without further incident and appeared in provincial court yesterday on a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The investigation continues.
