The Brier is returning to St. John’s, the details of which will be formally announced next week.
The “major curling announcement” is coming on Monday.
Officials, including Premier Andrew Furey, will be on hand for Monday’s event which will be held at Montana’s on Kenmount Road in St. John’s.
The restaurant chain assumed major sponsorship of the Brier from Tim Horton’s last year.
The capital city last hosted the Brier in 2017, when the hometown Brad Gushue rink won the first title for this province since 1976.
The event is now expected to return in 2026.
