Four people have been arrested after an incident involving a weapon inside a vehicle last night.
RNC tracked down the vehicle in the west end around 8:30, but when they attempted to haul it over, the driver took off at a high rate of speed.
That didn’t get the suspects very far as the car lost control on the snow-covered roads and came to a halt.
The 26-year-old man behind the wheel was arrested for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and flight from police.
A 31-year-old woman and 53-year-old man also inside the car were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
All three were held to appear in court.
A third passenger, a 36-year-old man was also arrested on an outstanding endorsed warrant. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
