Two people were taken to hospital – one of whom was airlifted to hospital in Quebec with serious injuries – as the result of a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Labrador Highway on Saturday morning near the Bloom Lake tracks.
RNC say the two vehicles collided head-on and one of the drivers, a 60-year-old woman from Quebec, was airlifted to hospital.
The highway from Labrador City to the Quebec border was held for an extended period for collision analysts, but is now fully accessible to traffic.
Any witnesses or anyone with possible video footage from the area between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday is asked to contact RNC investigators.
