Newfoundland and Labrador will have a new premier on May 3rd.
The Liberal Party announced the details of the leadership race this morning.
The nomination period is open from now until March 24th. Then, there will be a leadership convention on May 2nd and 3rd with the new leader, and premier, being announced on the last day.
To be eligible to vote in the election, people must be a registered member of the Liberal Party by end of day March 31st.
Meanwhile, John Hogan, who’s considering a run for the top job, is relinquishing his extra duties and will sit as a backbencher.
