It may come as a surprise to some, but NLC is seeing a steady increase in no-alcohol and low-alcohol beverage sales.
NLC released its 3rd quarter results earlier this week with beverage alcohol sales at $90.7 million, a three per cent increase over the same period one year ago.
Among the areas seeing increased growth are ready-to-drink beverages, and also low or non-alcoholic drinks.
NLC CEO Bruce Keating says the trend is not limited to the local market.
“We’re also seeing a lot of interest when we talk to our counterparts in other jurisdictions and….we’re looking at putting plans in place to expand our offering in-store in that area as well” says Keating.
