Police have reopened Old Pennywell Road in St. John’s following an incident at a home in the area this morning.
They had shut down a section of the road and surrounded the residence, between Baccalieu Street and Lynch Place, as they investigated an alleged assault.
At the time, they said they were trying to make contact with anyone inside the house as part of their investigation.

An ambulance was on scene along with several RNC units throughout the morning.
But it’s not clear if anyone was injured or if charges are pending.
