A man who, oddly enough, showed up at the RCMP detachment in Lewisporte yesterday to discuss on ongoing investigation left with an impaired driving charge.
According to the RCMP, the 53-year-old suspect was seen driving through the parking lot just before 2 p.m.. He then went to the front desk to speak with an officer.
The officer, who thought him to be impaired, had a breath test administered, which the suspect failed.
His license was suspended and vehicle impounded.
The accused has been released to appear in court at a later date on a charge of impaired.
