This St. Patrick’s Day weekend, many people will be heading out to the pub for a pint, and today people can do so while also supporting the Community Food Sharing Association.
VOCM has partnered with the Newfoundland Embassy in downtown St. John’s for Pack the Pub.
From noon until 4 p.m. today both monetary donations and non-perishable food items will be collected in support of the association.

The program coordinator with VOCM Cares, Sarah Newell, expects it to be a lively afternoon.
She says the pub will be packed with people, and there will be live music as well. Newell says they will be set up in the Lars Custard Cones area of the pub, taking donations.
