Twillingate RCMP have arrested and charged a man with stealing a truck from a business and then crashing it.
Police were first called just after 9 a.m. to Tuesday to reports that a 2017 Chevy Silverado had been stolen from a business in Summerford.
Later that same morning police were notified of a single-vehicle crash involving the truck in Twillingate.
The suspect left the scene on foot and was later found causing a disturbance outside a home, where he was arrested without further incident.
Twenty-four-year-old Jack LeBlanc is now facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.
LeBlanc has been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
