The Canada Games Host Society has two events scheduled for next weekend to mark 100 days out.
Over 5,000 athletes, coaches, and managers will flood into the metro region this August for the games, which will last for two weeks.
To mark 100 days before the start, the host society has partnered with Calibre Mining, which operates the Valentine gold mine, for two events.
First, a virtual scavenger hunt, coined “Race to 100,” will take place from Friday, April 25th until May 3rd. People can use the Canada Games app to follow clues to 25 locations in St. John’s to unlock digital badges, and potentially win the grand prize.
The other event is a community celebration which will be held in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday, April 26th. It takes place at the Corduroy Brook Nature Centre and Trail from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature various activities and refreshments.
