A 70-year-old man has been charged after police say he ran a red light, cut off a cop car, and refused to provide a breath sample in Bay Roberts.
The incident happened just before 7 p.m. Thursday.
As a police cruiser was heading through a green light it was cut off by another vehicle that had run a red light.
Officers pulled the driver over, and after a number of failed attempts to provide a breath sample, the man was arrested for refusal.
The man’s license has been suspended, and he has been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
