The Serious Incident Response Team is looking for witnesses or surveillance footage after an RCMP officer discharged their weapon during an investigation on Salmonier Line.
SIRT-NL provides civilian-led oversight into serious incidents involving police.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon after an armed robbery in Dunville, Placentia. There were no injuries.
SIRT-NL is seeking any witnesses, or people with video footage from the area between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to contact them.
