The number of lab confirmed cases of influenza have dropped off dramatically after peaking in early March.
The province saw a marked spike in cases in the late winter—months later, and much higher than the five-year average.
As of late April, the number of confirmed flu cases in the province had dropped to 57 from a peak of more than 200.
As of Friday, 25 people were in hospital with influenza, one of whom was in critical care.
Confirmed COVID cases meanwhile have also dropped off, with two people in hospital, and one death reported last week.
