The insurance industry has deployed mobile assistance to provide insurance information to residents affected by the wildfires that tore through Adam’s Cove and Small Point last week.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada says it’s also in close contact with the provincial government and emergency officials.

Manager of Government and Stakeholder Relations with the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Steve Hiscock, acknowledges this is a very difficult time.

“People are looking for a place to live again, and we’re doing our best to process that…and make sure we can make people whole again.”
