The House of Assembly is once again marking the national Moose Hide Campaign today.
The day revolves around protecting women and children and speaking out against gender-based and domestic violence. It also involves indigenous ceremony and traditional ways of learning and healing.
The day is symbolized by wearing a moose-hide pin, which represents solidarity in taking a stand against violence, supporting reconciliation and honouring indigenous culture.
The legislature began participating in the campaign yesterday with reflection and prayer.
