It’s going to be a dry May 24th weekend for most of the province with the exception of western Labrador. It will be wet in that area, but the rest of Labrador and the island will experience a decent long weekend.
It’s the unofficial start of summer so people will be out everywhere—on the trails, in the parks, at the cabins and on the water.
David Neil, a meteorologist at the Gander Weather Office, says temperatures will, for most part, be in the double digits Saturday and Sunday but not necessarily on the high end.
The warmest temperatures will be on the west coast and in central where the mercury will be in the teens. Highs elsewhere are forecasted to be in the low double digits with a few areas possibly seeing temperatures in the low teens.
