The people who run the province’s health care system are thinking about further expansion of the Meals on Wheels program.
NL Health Services recently expanded the program into the Placentia area, and is now considering going into other areas of their eastern zone.
Meals on Wheels is a community-based program that provides nutritious, low-cost meals to eligible seniors and adults living with disabilities.
They’re looking for input from the public to help guide the expansion.
Some of the towns on their radar are Conception Bay South, Paradise, Torbay, Clarenville, Marystown, St. Lawrence and Lamaline.
Staff of NLHS will also be visiting communities to gather feedback in person.
