The airport in Stephenville is at risk of having its power shut off.
Newfoundland Power has confirmed for VOCM News that Stephenville Dymond Airport has been given a notice of disconnection of electricity service.
The utility did not provide any detail as to when the disconnection could occur, but does say it is available to work with the airport to resolve the outstanding issues.
The news comes as yet another blow to the idle facility, which was recently downgraded to an aerodrome by Transport Canada.
Owner Carl Dymond, who at one time had grand plans for the facility, is currently navigating serious financial and legal issues in the courts.
