A complete fire ban is in place in most parts of Labrador due to an extremely high risk of forest fire.
Areas of Labrador West, including Churchill Falls and Labrador City, are currently at an “extreme” risk of a forest fire.
Open campfires and burning permits have also been suspended.
Most of the island is at a low or moderate risk of a wildfire.
