A thrift store in Conception Bay South is closing its doors after years of operation.
The Salvation Army Thrift Store has not been doing enough business to meet costs, so they are closing out.
Pam Goodyear, divisional secretary for public relations with The Salvation Army, says the store will close June 26th, so they are no longer accepting donations.
The owner of the property is selling, so they had to vacate and make the difficult decision to close rather than relocate. She says the main purpose of the thrift stores is to fund their services and programs so when an outlet becomes a financial drain, they always have to consider closure.
