The Exploits Ground Search and Rescue team is being credited for its efforts in locating a man injured in a remote area out of cell phone range.
The 65-year-old was taken to hospital after crashing his motorcycle on a woods road near Northern Arm Tuesday evening.
Police say the exact location of the crash was not known, and attempts to locate the man’s cell phone signal were unsuccessful.
Exploits Ground Search and Rescue was called in to help find the driver. Once he was located, the Ground Search and Rescue Team brought paramedics to the scene, and then carried the patient to the main highway, where he was taken to hospital for further treatment.
The investigation continues.
