The Liberal party is making its first public moves towards gearing up for a provincial election.
Both the PCs and NDP have been making moves in each of the electoral districts for some time, but to now the Liberals have stayed silent.
The party has revealed that Premier John Hogan, who is the MHA for Windsor Lake, and Mount Pearl North MHA Lucy Stoyles have both been acclaimed as the candidates in their districts.
The party has also opened nominations in the districts of Conception Bay South and Ferryland, both of which are currently held by PC members.
A provincial election must be held by October.
