Newfoundland Power crews have been out in droves this week working on the beautification of some spaces in the communities they serve.
The work is part of the company’s annual EnviroFest intiative, in which Newfoundland Power employees spruce up certain public spaces, and organizing community clean-ups.
Yesterday, crews made their way to Bishop Field Elementary in St. John’s.
Manager of environment and sustainability with Newfoundland Power, Jason Dalton says the work will not only benefit the students, but local wildlife as well.
He says they planted trees, moved soil, and put down some new mulch, which he believed will improve the space for the kids and provide pollination for bees and other species.
