The annual Children’s Miracle Network Janeway Telethon takes place this weekend.
President and CEO of the Janeway Foundation, Rebecca Dutton says it’s their biggest fundraising event of the year.
“It’s actually the biggest fundraising event in the province” says Dutton. She says fundraising takes place all year and money is raised leading up to the telethon with the help of corporate partners like Walmart and Costco, but she says the money really starts to roll in with the support of the public in phone calls and online donations during the telethon weekend.
This year’s telethon runs on Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 7:00 p.m. on NTV.
