A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with a crash in Portugal Cove South last summer that claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman.
RCMP say Riley White was the driver of a vehicle that left the road and caught fire last August 18th.
The victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, passed away in hospital from her injuries.
RCMP say after receiving the results of blood alcohol samples taken during the investigation, Riley White has been charged with impaired driving causing death, and a number of other impaired-related charges.
He’s also been charged with driving without due care causing death and crossing a solid line.
White is scheduled to appear in court on July 18th.
