The provincial government is rolling out two projects aimed at providing more training to the construction sector and creating a labour market strategy.
The first, a digital training service, would enable companies to provide online safety training to employees and help small businesses qualify for WorkplaceNL incentives.
The other project, through the Canadian Home Builders’ Association NL, would look into the province’s labour supply and create a strategy to boost recruitment and retention.
The programs come at a cost of nearly $300,000 combined.
