A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a disturbance in Harbour Main on Monday.

RCMP were notified around 10:30 Monday morning about a person who had been threatened by a man holding a knife.

While on the way to the scene, police received information identifying the suspect, and indicating that he had an axe.

Morgan Hatcher was arrested at the property without incident. Police say a large knife and an axe were seized.

Police say that Hatcher, who is on probation, is charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation.
