Whitbourne RCMP are trying to locate the owner of a dog which had been found deceased and submerged near the wharf in Whiteway, Trinity Bay.
RCMP were called on May 10th after local residents recovered an object that was wrapped and tied, found submerged near the wharf.
The object turned out to be the carcass of a male dog. Police say the animal was a large breed with medium length curly black fur on its neck and shoulders and longer length black curly fur on its back. The dog had floppy ears.
