Reports out of India suggest that at least one passenger survived the horrific crash of an Air India flight just moments after liftoff from Ahmedabad, bound for London.
The aircraft was carrying more than 200 passengers and crew when it crashed into a residential area just moments after takeoff.
Initially, it was reported that everyone on board the Boeing 787-8 had died in the fiery crash, but reports now suggest at least one passenger, a man who local police say produced a ticket and was named on the flight manifest, managed to walk away.
The exact number of people who died in the crash and the number of victims on the ground may not be fully understood for some time.
A tweet from India Today claims to show a man walking away from the crash scene.
