A gala was held at The Rooms last weekend to mark the 75th anniversary of the Commissionaires in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Established in 1950, the non-profit organization has grown into the largest private sector employer of veterans in the province.
Commissionaires serve in various roles, including as ambassadors and security personnel, and are a familiar presence at locations such as St. John’s International Airport and Confederation Building.
