Just days after the ban was lifted, fire departments on the northeast Avalon have once again imposed a ban on all outdoor fires in the region.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department says the ban will remain in effect until this Thursday when it will be re-evaluated.
The ban includes all outdoor wood-burning appliances, charcoal barbecues, and open fires.
Propane firepits and barbecues are still allowed.
The current fire hazard rating for the area is high.
