NL Hydro says it’s sparing no expense in the process of finalizing the MOU reached with Hydro Quebec on the Upper Churchill and future hydro developments in Labrador.

NL Hydro CEO Jennifer Williams says they’re hoping to have the terms complete by April 2026 at the latest, and she doesn’t expect the departure of Hydro Quebec CEO Michael Sabia to have any impact on timelines.

“We are working very hard to get this done as late as April, so if we can get it done before; amazing,” says Williams.

“It’s a lot of work to get done prudently, but we are sparing no expense and ensuring that we have a lot of legal resources. We are having all of the consultants that helped us before to continue on with us.”
