The dates for the recreational food fishery are set for the summer.

The fishery will be open every weekend from Saturday through to and including Monday, starting next Saturday, June 28 and continuing throughout the summer to Monday, September 1.

The fishery will open for a week in the fall from Saturday, September 20 to Sunday, September 28.

The daily bag limit is five groundfish per day, including cod, and the maximum boat limit is 15 groundfish when three or more people onboard are fishing.

Retention of Atlantic halibut, spotted and northern wolffish and any species of shark is strictly prohibited, while sculpins and cunners may be released.

All other groundfish caught must be kept and are part of the daily bag limit.
