An update will be coming today from the City of St. John’s following a scary incident at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre Friday evening.
Around 5 p.m. there was a partial collapse of the exterior ceiling, which hangs over the front entrance.
Several big wooden panels came crashing down to the ground as a result as patrons were inside using the facility.
The city closed the building down for the weekend, noting that the issue is under investigation.
An update on when the building will reopen is expected later today.
