An MHA in central Newfoundland is calling on government to make changes at what he calls a dangerous intersection
Lin Paddock, the MHA for Baie Verte-Green Bay, says the intersection of Route 390 and the TCH winds around a bend and slopes, reducing visibility. Paddock says there are seven different access points that feed directly into high-speed 100 km/h traffic. He says there were 11 collisions in the area two years ago, and 13 last year.
He’s asking government to lower the speed limit to 80 km/h for the summer as a trial run.
