The town of Portugal Cove-St. Philips is making a splash today with the official opening of its brand new splash pad.
A celebration event, which takes place at Rainbow Gully Park this afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., includes a free barbecue and cupcakes along with local entertainment by Matthew Thompson.
The splash pad was made possible through funding provided by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
