For the second time this week, officials are reminding the public to be vigilant, following the sighting of a bear, this time in Grand Falls-Windsor.
The RCMP say there have been sightings of a bear in the Grenfell Heights area and are asking the public to exercise caution, secure any garbage, and avoid approaching the bear.
A black bear was reported by RCMP nearly two weeks ago in the same community near Toulette Drive, Lincoln Road, Sunsent Drive, and the town’s dog park.
Then, earlier this week, wildlife officials were searching for a black bear in Bay Roberts, sending the warning to residents in the Babcock Boulevard and Cleary subdivision.
Anyone who sees a bear is asked to contact wildlife officials.
