The town of Gander is getting $177,000 from the province to support its tourism sector.
Government says the money will help the town develop a tourism strategy, and help purchase equipment to improve experiences at festivals and events that the town puts off.
As well, the project will work on improving capacity to host more frequent and diverse tourism events year-round, capitalizing on sport tourism, and working with other communities in the region.
