Summer is in full swing in Conception Bay South with a stretch of great weather upon the region as the town celebrates with The Kelligrews Soiree.

The festival kicked off on the weekend with a concert at Nugent’s Park and the Home Hardware Pancake Breakfast at the CBS Arena.

Events today include Youth Night in the Park.

Tomorrow, festivities continue with the Heritage Wheels Car Show at Heritage Square Retirement Living in Long Pond.

Councillor Josh Barrett says that the event usually has a following. He says if you have an old vehicle that others might like to see, you can still register.

The event takes place from 6-8:00 pm but anyone registering a car has to do so by 5:00 pm.
