Drugs and a gun have been seized as the result of an investigation into a rash of commercial break-ins in Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace.
Last Friday, the RCMP obtained a search warrant for a home on Gadden’s Mash in Carbonear.
Officers, including members of the Emergency Response Team, searched the home and seized a number of items, including a shotgun, ammunition, a quantity of crack cocaine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, a quantity of cash, and stolen property.
Thirty-year-old Ashley Hefford of Carbonear, who also goes by the last name King, and 32-year-old Brent Cranford of Shearstown were arrested without incident at the scene.
Each of the accused is charged with possession of stolen property, with more charges possible. They will appear in court again on September 29th.
