A 23-year-old man has lost his licence and the vehicle he was driving after being stopped for excessive speeding earlier this week.
RCMP caught up with him on the Bay D’Espoir Highway after he was clocked doing 134 kilometres an hour in an 80-kilometre zone — more than 50 kms/hr over the speed limit.
What’s more, police discovered the vehicle was neither registered nor insured.
It was impounded and the man’s licence was suspended on the spot.
Police continue to urge the public to immediately report any instances of speeding or dangerous driving on the province’s roads.
