A man facing two dozen serious charges after a run-in with a group of teens earlier this year had his case called before a judge this morning.
Forty-seven-year-old Aaron Manuel of Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s is accused of uttering death threats, shooting a firearm, and even kidnapping during an incident on January 3rd of this year.
He’s also charged with five counts of assault with a weapon, pointing and discharging a firearm, and robbery, though no one was injured.
RNC have so far only said there was some kind of “interaction” between the man and the teenagers.
In court this morning Manuel’s lawyer said while they have the disclosure and police summaries, they need a couple of more weeks to review statements from witnesses.
That was granted by Provincial Court Chief Judge Robin Fowler, with an expectation of pleas being entered when the case is called again on September 2nd.
