Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a hit and run incident that killed a Newfoundland woman.
Thirty-five-year-old Jessica Follett, originally from St. John’s, died after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Highway 89 in Innisfill, Ontario on the morning of Sunday, July 13th.
The vehicle involved left the scene. OPP have located the vehicle involved and are now working to identify the driver.
Police are hoping to speak with the driver of a white SUV which was travelling closely behind the suspect vehicle and who may have witnessed the collision.
The funeral for the mother of five is taking place Friday at Caul’s Chapel in St. John’s.
A GoFundMe campaign has also been launched.
The Nottawasaga OPP is seeking to identify a potential witness in connection with a fatal fail-to-remain collision that occurred on Sunday, July 13, 2025, shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Highway 89 near 5th Side Road in Innisfil.
