A 55-year-old man has been charged after a concerned citizen called in what appeared to be a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in Brigus Junction early Wednesday morning.
Holyrood RCMP say the caller thought the man was in distress.
While on their way to the scene, police received a report that the same vehicle was involved in a minor rear-end collision with another.
Police say the driver refused to provide a roadside breath sample.
Donald Gillingham of Holyrood was charged with refusal and was ticketed for driving with a suspended or cancelled licence.
Gillingham, who returns to court on August 12 has three similar charges before the courts according to the RCMP – two for refusal, and one for impaired driving.
