The Orangestore 2025 Canada Games Torch Relay wraps up today with a ceremony at Bannerman Park this afternoon.
The torch was lit at the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on June 11 and has been winding it’s way through Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces to Newfoundland and Labrador.
The final leg of the relay started at the Orangestore on Water Street West this morning at 10:00 and will follow a route through the downtown and east end.
The route will follow along Water Street to the downtown and onto Quidi Vidi Road, Forest Road, Lakeview Avenue, Clancey Drive, Carnell Drive, The Boulevard, King’s Bridge Road, Circular Road and winding up at Bannerman Road for 2:00 p.m.
A celebration will take place at Bannerman Park this afternoon.
The 2025 Canada Summer Games get underway next Friday, August 8.
