The provincial government says they’re expanding the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre in Harbour Breton.
Premier John Hogan made the announcement during a stop in the area Monday.
Government says it’s adding 10 beds to its long-term care roster, which was part of the recommendations from Health Accord NL.
The province says it plans on sending out requests for proposals in the fall, with no word on anticipated opening.
Hogan says the move will allow residents to receive care closer to home.
