A founding member of Great Big Sea is the new executive director of the East Coast Music Association.

Bob Hallett takes over on Monday.

Hallett has been in the industry for decades.

He says it is an “honour” to step into the role.

He says it is an opportunity for him to “give back at a fundamental level.”
